Just wondering what's the story on grado labs meets?
Has anyone approached or asked jon for another one? Any tentative plans for one this spring? A few friends have approached me asking when the next headfi meet is and i'm curious as well. Who will take the intiative in planning the next one.... Bozebuttons... Or Meech?

anyone?! ; )

SO NO one wants to tell me what's going on?

I mean, is it that no one would be interested in this, or that no one wants to take this sort of intiative to plan one?? (OR is it simply that the guys i mentioned, aren't around??) Who usually is our contact over there at grado labs? I know jon from a few times meeting him at the meets, and recently he helped me out repairing my headphones, would you guys like me to try and ask him if he wants to host a meet?

Someone please say something on this.

Marc.

If there is another Grado meet and I am in town from college...
I am in 100 percent, the last one was surely an eye opener.

i'm going to wait for one of the OG's to notice this thread, it seems to be getting no attention...

Yet i can call up on tuesday and ask him personally if no one steps up to the plate. I thought it would be awkward without the blessing of people who usually plan these to take the intitiative, but on the real, i dont know about planning a whole meet myself, i got mad work to do... The best i can say is i'll call up if no one else wants to and ask jon for now, but why won't anyone give me some insight as to why these meets aren't happening regularly anymore?

I can only imagine it's because the people who usually planned these are very busy?

Everyone who might be interested in a meet, please post here. Let's get a growing amount of attention posted here, and i can atleast let him know how many attendess would want to go (if he even humors the idea). I know due to space issues, it has to be under 30 right? Well, that's hoping people even want to go (and he would even host the meet again)??

Also, if he wouldn't host a meet, who would want some sort of meet anyways?

Well I think we've outgrown the space of Grado Labs. That last place was cool but the empire state building was causing some crazy interference in some amps I noticed. We need some electromagnetic shielding

If it's in May, I won't make it since I'll be accross the world. So how about in april or june?

hahah damn,

I never even realized that, too bad though, that place was at a key spot, beautiful view too.. You know the time frmae would probablly be best when everyone seems to have free time(over the summer or closer to it) and nowadays it's pretty horrible for me as well. Closer to the summer is definatly better...

So, if it was say mid june, who would be interested?

I spoke to John Grado the other day,Grado labs will not be available to us for the spring meet, but we may be able to hold the fall meet there.

So how about it meech? Is your buddy's place available again? I know from talking with him at the end of the meet that he was thinking of moving so that might nix that place.

Anyway, I'm up for helping out again if it's necessary. Maybe I can get the Panache this time.

Edit: I just realized I have a lot of things going on in the spring so I'll have to play things a bit by ear at this point.

Why do you say these meets aren't happening regularly, anymore? We have had consistent May/November meets for almost 3 years. It's only early March. We will have our meet. Just be patient. As Tom said, Mr. Grado can't accommodate us in May, due to business needs. But we'll figure something out. We're tough New Yawkers. Deep breaths. Ohm.

Like Aaron says...the meets have been happening regularly, it's just that Grado's couldn't accomodate us for the last meet and for a spring meet. I'm sure there's plenty of interest and even though it's best to plan these things ahead, the second week of March is a little early. We'll find a place, don't worry.

Thanks for the follow-up! A Grado meet in Fall sounds great! Now what to do for the Spring and Summer meets...
