SHORT THOUGHTS ON THE ALESSANDRO MS-1 - Page 2

I had a pair of MS-1's for a while. They are a bargain. I had them at a time when I was demoing an Eddie Current HD25 and the combo sounded sweet. As you've pointed out an amp really isn't needed to enjoy them.

Mike, I think the MS-1's would be great for jazz. Be a good bro and buy your sister a pair.

Thanks for your comments Lou, and of course no offence taken.

I suspect your right as to the lack of m/w's being the problem, guess ill have to save up for a sangean. Otherwise have to agree that the ms-1 are right up there with the best on the bang for bux scale ... especially for us foreigners.

But what's the mistery car? Maybe a TVR Cerbera with all the trimmings? That'd be worth 90 000 even without butt warmers =))

So is the MS-1 inferior to the MS-2 by a margin

HI: I just got mine today and they came with the comfy pads. Alessandro don't use bowl pads.

what makes the ms-1 more likeable than an rs-1? is it because of the alleged "fun" sound versus the "reference" sound of the rs-1? BTW i haven't heard either of these, but my next purchase will be a pair of ms-1's or a500's, haven't decided yet.

As good as they sound now, they sound even better with Senn pads and a CHA47. Simply great headphones.

My MS-2's shipped with bowls. I don't think they use bowls on the MS-1's however.
