Exercise / Clip On Phones - Page 2

vulc4n- I experience the same 'loose joint' problem with my KSC 75's. A clip falls off on a weekly basis. I haven't gone to the glue, but glue should be the answer. But first, I will complain to Koss to see what Koss says.

one joint came loose after it got popped off the clip. so i popped the other one off the clip to match it. both are loose now. they become loose because when it gets snapped off the clip the plastic half ball shape thing that fits into the socket, due to only being half a ball (bad design in my opinion), the edge gets damaged and the radius becomes slightly smaller, thus looser. so i think the loosening of the joints in ineveitable, because once you accidentally pop it out you screw it up, it happens very easily. so just learn to be happy with it.

I regularly jog with Sure e3cs (foam tips). No microphonics to speak of.

Sorry to hijack, but are there other alternatives to the KSC75 that have a lower impedance? And the wire on the KSC75, how light/thin is it? Can someone take some pics? I'm asking because I currently have Sony's MDR-Q22LP and the light-gauge wire is friggn annoying, it coils up spontaneously all the time and I try to straighten it out but it never sticks. If I had something with heavier-gauge wire (like Sennheiser's PX200, for example) that would be a lot better.

I think MD33s are youre only other low impedence option that ALSO sound good. Theyre a "shallow" canal phone though not an earclip. I think they're 16 ohms.

I never had a problem with the KSC cord and it spontaneously coiling up (Looks at KSC75 sitting on desk...). When new, the cord has kinks and bends in it but it straightens out in no time. Try warming up the cord with a hairdryer and massaging it on a towel. That might help relieve any built up tension.

Might want to consider the senn MX series. Theyre ear-buds and not canalphones so they dont stick deep into the ear. Pretty sure their impedence is lower than the KSC (dont quote me on that).

Shure E2cs have a very heavy gage / thick wire that doesnt twist at all. But its a canal phone.

how loud are the ksc 75's?

this is somewhat subjective, so take it with a grain of salt...
but how loud are the ksc 75's were they to be used with a source like a dell dj?
