Portable amp that will power the beyer dt770s?

I eventually want to get these headphones and I know im going to need an amp for them, Im also planning on using the amp through a line-out on my computer.

What would be a good amp that can power these headphones but won't cost to much. I would prefer to pay no more than $80, $100 at most.

I know my budget doesn't allow for alot of options but its all I have.

A META42 or PIMETA would work just fine. If you can find one a used Headsave Go-Vibe or Mint-Vibe would also be good matches.

I've been powering my 770's with Gary Ali's PA2, it provides of power and only $60.00 + shipping.

How's the sound quality of that combination?

also look into the Super Mini Moy, which is in many ways similiar to Norm's Go-Vibe.

I've used my 770s well with a MINT, PIMETA, Maxi Moy (Signature Ed.), SuperMacro (opamp 627's), and a Porta Corda Mk II. The 770s do well with every single one.

Very good. Plenty of low end drive with a comfy, fairly natural high-end. I'm a percussionist and this combo really brings out the drums and bass with a natural, non competitive sound which is what I desire. For example: the bass drum doesn't get lost within the bass guitar, one will come into the front without stepping on the other. This has been a problem with my Audigy 2 and to a lesser extent my KORG D12 multi track Studio headphone output.

I use the PA2 with Grado SR80's, Senn HD280, Shure Ec3, and DT770's. I prefer a can \ amp combo that feels like a live rehearsal or performance, with all the energy and punch thats possible within my (pre Head-Fi) budget. My PA2 and DT770's fulfill this for me ...but then again I've only recently stumbled upon Head-Fi so this may change before too long . For $60.00 + the cost of NH-AA x 2 the PA2 is a really good value as far as I'm concerned. If I wasn't pleased with the sound quality and performance I'd be using something else.

Damn straight. Even I can afford that, and I'm about as poor as it gets. That's the good thing about the DT770s, though. Yes, they need an amp, but they don't need a beastly, $400 amp. Granted, the beastly $400 amp would probably sound better, but you can't want what you've never heard.
