The GRADO SR-60 Impressions Thread - Page 36

It's time for me to get my first good headphones, and thanks to this thread I've ordered the SR60's. Can't wait
post #527 of 865
I got my SR60s last week and I'm lovin it so far. Sometimes, I even find myself listening to songs I don't normally listen to (or tired of listening to) just to see what they sound with the headphones.

Oh yes the SR-60 is also my favorite headphone for gaming

No other headphone (aside from the K1000) can provide as precise imaging for CounterStrike: Source. Keep in mind this is the only game I really play but I have extensive experience with this game and many headphones and so far the Grados are the most accurate

I've only had them for 4 hours and I think they sound pretty good straight out of the box.

I think I enjoy these more than my HD595s.

Did I do this right?

I love my SR60's... though is there anyone out there that has the feeling the headband is too big? I have the sliders upwards to a minimum and the headband still barely touches my head. I wouldn't mind, but this leads to me being inclined to put more lateral pressure on my ears than I'd like just to keep them firmly in place

Just got my Grado bowls for the SR60s. They sound even better now. Although I need to get used to the comfort of the bowls...

After liking the sr60s last year (yet selling them), I just bought sr80s.

My ears hurt from bowls

So true, when i first used them i didn't understand why this is like that, i have a normal head i think and i'am at the minimum, if i had just a smaller head i'll have the headband 1" above my head...

And they have Long metal stem on both side i wonder who can use them fully, they will have some utility if the headband was shorter

I've seen a couple of posts where folks have added padding under their headbands to increase not only the comfort, but to take up some of the slack as well. Perhaps Y'all could give it a try?

....yeah; I have mine set down to just about the smallest size too, and when I DO let the kids borrow them....

Well geez, thanks a lot! Now I've gone and purchased a pair for myself, now that my PX-100's have died. The SR-60's will be my first "audiophile" headphone set, and I'm absolutely stoked.

Thanks a ton for the input here, and for HeadRoom for being such a fantastic online store. I sure hope I won't be disappointed!

Maybe not, I don't find the SR60 THAT much better than the PX100. With the stock comfies they were actually worse and only the 414 pads sorted them for me.

Can't be bothered to trawl through the other 26 pages to check if anybody has said this but:

Screw the SR-60! The SR-80's where it's at! Muahaha

But seriously, is it safe to say the 80's are the same as the 60's but with better bass?
