Right, I'm not an american, so is Rat Shack the same as Radioshack?.

I could try tape as a dry-run, then find some paint and test it on some scraps of foam. I really need some of the holes people cut out (but I dont want to make holes: dammit!) Send me your cut-outs?

Opps....sorry....easy mistake on my part! You write better in American English(huh?)than I do so I figured you were from here!!

......ok; found it! I see you're from the UK! Hey! so's over half of my DNA!!

But yup, Rat Shack is Radio Shack.

I had punched out the holes in my 414s using a socket and a hammer after taking the pads off the cans()but the kids ended up using the cut-outs for silly little eye patches and they unfortunately got lost.

....nah, the cut-outs; we still have the kids.

This thread needs to be brought back for good reasons.

Rocking to my SR60s now. :P

I recently bought a pair of DT770/80's, and love them, but they just don't do a good portion of my rock (which is most of my music) justice. The SR60's though, now those are a pair of rockin cans. Completely different than the DT770's, they're both good, but I totally understand why people say that Grados rock, especially after trying other kinds of cans now.

I took off my Grados and left them running. From the next room my girlfriend thought I had my Tivoli radio on. Has anyone ever built an enclosure so the SR60 could be used as a desktop speaker? Those earpieces would be so easy to just drop in!

I just place them on my desk and use them as low volume PC speakers

So much FUN!

An update of my satisfaction of my SR-60s (unmodded, for the time being), I've been listening to my Jensen Loudspeakers and KSC75s a lot lately, because they do sound good, I hear everything, its seperated and clear blah blah blah, but then I put on the Grados and I'm tapping my whole body!

They leave plenty to be desired in jazz, classical etc of course, but for rock, damn theyre good.

More sr-60 love

My first headphones. Got them when I was 17 years old, payed way too much for them (Norwegian price). Never regret buying them though. Stayed with me for about four years, until the wires got loose and I bought the 325i instead. Wouldn't go back, but I will never forget the 60s. Love them

So yesterday I went over to Music Lover's Audio in Berkeley, CA and picked up my first pair of Grados! I chose the SR-80's, and they are nothing short of amazing. Contrary to popular opinion, though, I can't get over how comfortable they are! I have a size 8 - 8 1/8 head, and I must say that these are some of the comfiest headphones I have ever used. I have never experienced rock quite like this! The SR-80's walk all over my V6's and 555's. They have been burning in for the past 24 hours, and have exceeded my expectations

The only pair of headphones I've had for 4 years

Last week, after many Head-Fi-less months, my beloved KSC-75's right channel died . But I really don't want to buy another pair (gotta upgrade!) so in the next month or two I will be seeing my first really good headphone, an SR60. ($17 saved so far... why can no one hire at 14??? )

But I just know that they're gonna rock! So I'll be in on the SR60 love in the near future. <insert excitement here>

This morning I finally bit the bullet and decided to get a pair of Grado SR-60 out of curiosity.
