PX100 or Portapros for modern rock?

Hi. I've been a Koss Sportapro user for quite a few years now and I'm quite satisfied with them. I'm wondering, which are superior for playing back modern rock? The Senn PX100 or Portapros? I observed everyone mentioned boosted bass on the Portapros. Would this be a similar characteristic to the Sportapros I'm accustomed to? As a modern rock affionado, I value an accurate kick drum that has woof, bass guitar tone, and chunky electric guitar distortion tone. If the PX100's are more laid back as everyone says, will I be missing one of these characteristics? If so, I think I want Portapros...otherwise...?

I'm listening to PX100s right now with rock.

Go with the Koss headphones.

I'd recommend the KSC75s/KSC35s if you want to make a favorable impression with the ladies...

How much of an improvement are the Portapros over the Sportapros? One of the reasons I wanna invest in Portapros is cuz one of the foam pads came off after years of coming in and out of my backpack.

I vote for the porta. If you have an extra ~$65 add a cmoy to that and it will sound superb.

I vote for the Koss PortaPro... more correct in the tibre of the instruments, a little less tight in the bass but more musical all around. Incredible harmonic defiition (for the price) in mid-high and highs regions.

PX100 has great definition/articulation for its price in the midbass area, and the bass is also fast and tight; only maybe a little bit overstated in its balance, but the Portapro won't really be an improvement here .
The only thing that could hold me back from recommending the PX100 for rock are its rather sweet highs.
