woo hoo! that's great news. maybe mike will even answer the phone when you call now.

been looking to have a mini (as in small, not few) tube amp shootout between your Moretto and my EarMax Pro - should be interesting.

Anyone calls my home number I assume you don't have my cell number for a reason. Steve and I had a 1 hour minimeet where he listened to my headphones, amps, etc. while I chauffered my daughter back and forth to her guitar lessons. I would post my impressions but I don't have any. Well, other than that Steve appeared to enjoy himself the few moments I was actually present.

I'm in if I can swing it (and I've got enough warning to block out my schedule, I hope). Probably not bringing much but me, but who knows?

What's the matter, can't carry an SDS through the airport. Hope you can make it.

There will be at least a Rega P3, or P5 and there may be a Scoutmaster with a Brinkman Phono preamp. I have access to more classical vinyl than you could listen to if you started in the morning and didn't stop until the meet was over times 10. When it gets closer let me know if there is anything in particular and I will see if my friend has it.

It looks like we will miss the Headroom Tour by a week and 200 miles. However, we should be able to find ways to keep ourselves occupied during the meet. We are fortunate to Ray coming down for the second time with his wonderful equipment. We will have Guru for the first time in the role of manufacturer with his great Dynahi amps. Hopefully, we will have some surprises in store.

I would like people to start confirming their attendence as soon as they are able. If the numbers justify it, I will rent a room for the meet. In fact, I am going to try and reserve a room tomorrow. A couple of others and myself have agreed to underwrite the cost of the room. I think we may follow NYC's example and hold a silent auction, to help pay for the room. If anyone has any items they would like to donate for this purpose, let me know. It is not necessary for you to donate money or auction items to attend. Anyone is welcome, you just need to let me know.

I just wanted you guys to know that I'm just sick that I can't make your meet. Tyrion, give Ivy at HeadRoom a call in a couple of weeks and we'll see if we can get you some of the new stuff for the meet.

Thanks Tyll, I will give Ivy a call. I can imagine the difficulty in arranging a trip like this.

To those that were at the last meet, the Amerisuites Hotel that some of you stayed at has a 1200 sq. foot room available for our use. I think the price of the meeting room will be as much as or less than the other room I looked at. The person I spoke on the phone thought with tax, set up and break down it woudl be about $210. I don't want to go by his pricing because he was not the person that normally handles the meeting room rentals. I should get a call back later today with the exact cost. I am going to go by there later today to check it out. I will update the thread as soon as I have more information

Room update. It looks like the room will be under $200 for the day. We can have it from 9am to 6pm. They will supply tables and chairs, which I can have set up in any configuration. They will also provide us rooms for $85/night. It is the same Amerisuites that a number of you guys stayed at for the last meet. I am going over there after work to pick up the agreement and check out the room to make sure it will be appropriate for our needs.

Sounds great!

It will be easy to setup and dismantle with minimal loss of time. I think 9 to 6 will be perfect...Plenty of time after 6pm to drop in on your friend before heading to dinner

The room is reserved. The cost is $184.00. It has plenty of outlets. The hotel staff will set up and take down the tables in chairs. I have them setting up the tables all around the perimeter of the room. We can also have our own food brought in rather than going through the hotel caterer. In order to get the rooms for $85, whoever is going to reserve rooms needs to use my name when they contact the hotel. They are giving us a corporate rate. I suggest reserving rooms as soon as possible as they have no way of knowing whether they will sell out that weekend.
