The bigger obstacle might be the *depth* of the Grado drivers. The clip might not be able to reach your ear

I have the KSC-50s which are very light, and they have a tendancy to fall off if I have my head sideways or shake it a lot. I can't imagine what 2-4x the weight would be like. It would also be painful to the ears after a while.

You need a material that's is light and tough for the diaphragm, I have read somewhere that paper is actually the best material for it. Altough imo it can be easily effect from the humidity, other materials like silk and aluminium are use to make speaker tweaters all the time. Or you can use Kavler like my B&W speakers!
