I'm interested in what you would suggest as to cleaning the earbuds... Could you expand on your above statement on how you clean yours? I do the best I can to help the Sony owners out, so maybe you can suggest another solution, which I could add to the FAQ?

If you are careful the wax will not be pushed in, and I don't see how this would ruin the driver..

Oh and thanks for insulting my FAQ. I can see that trying to help people just isn't good enough these days, is it?

Only way thats true is if you either clean your ears before every use (not realistic for portable usage). Or simply dont use them

Not my intension at all. Its just pushing wax into the driver affects sound in the short term and if it gets into one of those fairly large holes on the driver, it can cause driver failure. Even taken the EX71's apart to see just how fragile that driver is?

EDIT: not to mention filter damage.

Could you expand on the alcohol comment? Yes, I can read quite well, thank you, I wanted you to expand on your method.

If you are careful you won't damage the 'phones. If you poke the wax and collect it at the tip of the tool and dispose of it, none is poked into the unit..

Again, you taste the filter more than anything. But no it isnt, I have the E5 now and dont have to deal with these problems -- its more of a sony is an acquired taste.
