I seriously doubt that would be big enough for a headphone jack and it would be difficult to make it acurate enough. I find tin snips work great for opening up the whole end so the power switch, headphone jack, and usb port are all usable

Also for those who wish to strip the paint off of the altoids can; wouldnt that defeat the purpose of it? I mean if you were to leave it sitting out somewhere (hopefully by accedent) a thief is going to be more inclined to steal a ZM rather than an altoids can. See what I mean! Cause If you strip it and put some design on it then it looks of some importance.

I dont think its deep enough though...Arent zen micros .7 inches deep, and that case is .625

it will fit I have a iPOD case & a ZM case the altoids case works perfectly and if you have a store called the container store then you can buy a case thats about .5 in wider and about 3 in taller than an altoids can and you can put an 20-60gig iPOD in there, plus add a compartment to hold 1 accessory and "STOCK" headphones which I hope you will never use! btw I still havent gotten any emails about the pix for the I.P case if I am to get it you need to have a subject and/ or get my email right wich is julianewus@yahoo.com

If there isnt a "container store" near you I guess the stores are only chains in Texas

Also you would make the iPOD case the same way you would for a ZM one, but you add a peice of spare sheet metal and put it about .15 in from the top of where the iPOD would rest then outlin the inside with foam or soft matierial I then purchased a set of small hinges which I put inside the case to make a door. for the headphone compartment. which I also outlined in foam.

i just got my zen micro and made a altoids case for it using mousepads but when i close it all the way it probably presses the pause button or something because when i close it all the way then it stops and when i open it again it immediattly starts working any one have the same probelm or anyone have any suggestions
