Which are the best Coltrane CDs? I have "Giant Steps" and "My Favorite Things" and they're good, but I suspect there might be better...

See ya

If you like radiohead you should listen to muse... they're a great darker alternative i think. If you can track down any B-sides or live shows on the net i'd recommend giving them a listen.

I already left my Upgradeitis to the willing of the gods. I gave up. Anyways, you can’t take your gear to the grave. It’s sad. I would like to keep my gear to use it in the other side.

This is a great thread. I can related to the orignal posters thoughts on upgraditis, as well as, about the "cure" of spending the money on the music. [...which is why we buy the equipment in the first place.] I have also gotten some good advice on new music [did anybody read that thread last week about "Where do you guys find new music?"]. I definitely have to check out "Muse" and "Madvilliany." I would second the suggestion of Modest Mouse "Good News For Prople Who Love Bad News," and "The Moon And Antarctica." I would like to add Arcade Fire "Funeral," and The Streets "Original Pirate Material." I rarely read about Yo-yo Ma's wonderful album "Appalachia Waltz." Snow Patrol "Final Straw" and all of the albums by Yo La Tengo [especially "Elect-ro-Pura"] are recent great discoveries for me. [nine inch nails "Fragile" is also well worth having as are so many of the albums listed above...] Good luck with your cure, but you better start thinking about a cure for "purchasing of new music-itis."
