Phoenix-Scottsdale anyone? - Page 5

Well it sounds like maybe we just can't get a good time for everyone. I'm not even in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area and don't own a car, so it's not like it's particularly easy for me to make anything, especially since I have finals coming up :P

Hi,

Things have been busy this past weekend - I just noticed the replies.

Who's hosting? (I live in Chandler) I might be able to - depends on how many people are coming, and what we want to do.

No more (suffering through) ASU games. My weekends are pretty clear at this point. Whatever works for everyone else!

ps- I have an L3000 on the way!

For the most part - I am free on the weekends. What sort of things would need to be brought? I'm always down to throw in a 30 pack

I think we need the possible hosts to post the dates they would be able to host. Then the guests could find an agreeable date to settle on. Unfortunately I'm not able to host, but I'm available anytime except the evening of Dec. 9. I believe Audiofiler and scorch previously posted about possibly hosting. Hopefully we get some more collaboration going in here!

Hi,

I could host Saturday, December 16th. I don't have much in the form of headphone rigs, but I do have a dedicated listening/viewing room. If we schedule this towards afternoon/evening, we can watch a movie (my room comfortably seats 6, plus overflow chairs).

Here's my audiogon virtual system:

Nice setup! Off on weekends, so 12-16 works for me.

I've got a 2 resin folding tables (6/8 foot) for folks to set stuff up on. As for headphone stuff...

Sennheiser HD580
Sennheiser PX200
Sennheiser MX500
Sony EX70
Etymotic ER6i Black
Beyerdynamic DT770-250 Pro

Pimeta BB Mister X
CHA-47 (cmoy)

M-Audio Studio Pro 4 (not headphone, but better than Logitech speakers IMO)

Nano 1st Gen
SB X-Fi (non elite pro)

And a fairly capable gaming system if anyone's into that. (Core 2 @ 3.2Ghz, P5B Deluxe, 8800GTX, 74GB Raptor, Dell 2007WFP [S-IPS]) My primary use for headphones lies w/ the PC. I'm either listening to Apple Lossless w/ the 580's or getting blown up in BF2142 w/ the 770's.

Nice system, Vandersteens are great speakers.

The 16th works for me too. I will be able to bring the

Toshiba SD-3950 Transport
Entech 203.2 DAC
Little Dot II+ amp
Senn HD650
Senn PX100
Senn MX550
Shure E3c
Koss KSC75
Sony MDR-V250
Panasonic HC70.

This looks like it can work, it's gonna be fun.

Guys,

This sounds good... Nick! I've got a bunch of Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab and other audiophile recordings you can monitor... you don't want to miss this!

I will take some pictures of my living room and family room. Depending on how many folks and how much gear, we may not need to bring extra tables.

If anything, PLEASE bring power strips and extension cords.

At what time were you thinking of hosting, scorch?
Any interest from the Tucson folks?
Hi,

I can keep the entire Saturday afternoon/evening open. Good time frame would be 2pm-6pm for daytime listening. If we want to do an easy dinner, we could order pizza in. I also love to grill, so we could do a more sit-down dinner, too - no problem.

I've never hosted or attended a head-fi get-together so I'm not sure how long these normally last, so I'll keep everything flexible.

my schedule is busier than ever through the 1st of the year with work, but yes am interested in hosting an event in the AZ area. My future inlaws will be in town this Friday until the 27th of December, so having the Dec meet at my spot can not work.

I am very excited, nonetheless, that a meet is happening in Phx!!! And hope to participate if able to that weekend..

Sounds like the AZ gang is focusing in on the 16th of Dec though, let me know
