+1UP in AZ.

I have a few different pairs of headphones I could bring out.

Senn - PX100, HD485
Ultrasone - Pro-Line 650
Koss - KSC35, KSC75 Kramer Modded
AKG - K701
Crap - Shure E2c, Pioneer V700DJ

And a lonely Go-Vibe V5 for an amp.

I am totally game for a meet in AZ..and Fil..I can get you a ride one way to Phx from Tuc..if you can find a way either there or back from a Tuc HF'r, I will pick you up or drop you off and provide transportation for you one way ...
Hey, thanks for the offer! Hmm...I'll have to figure out some way to get back then

The DAC (and PCDP) has since been improved, and I've got a couple new DIY portable amps too ^_^

Welcome to the thread, M3ntal!

Well, it's been a long time coming but I have a feeling that this is it. How do you all feel about a meet on Saturday Nov. 11th? It's the veterans day weekend and I hope most people will be free. Location is TBA, this will be the first AZ meet in a LONG time, does anyone would like to be the host?

Wow! The 11th, huh? I suppose if everyone can attend that date, it's all good. Or perhaps we could make poll to find out when's good for everyone. As for hosting, I'm in a small 2 bed apt., so that's prolly none too comfy. But I can bring 8 and 6 foot portable tables that work well for LAN parties...

Hmm...I'm thinking *maybe* I could get my brother to be willing to drive me up there as he likes headphone stuff too, but I don't know. Sounds like I'd need to get my PCDP back together by then...been working on the output stage recently.

Hi,

Dept_of_Alchemy sent me a PM a while back about this thread. I live and work in Chandler. I'm interested in a local get-together, and would be able to host a meet, but not November 11th - booked up that weekend.

I'm more of a regular on avsforum (same moniker over there) and a lurker here.
If you're a gear nut, I have a profile there as well.

My headphone gear is definitely not as advanced as systems here - I listen to ER4Ss at work, and have a pair of Grados from college that need to be refurbished. I am very interested in getting started in DIY, such as a headphone amp.

Keep sending out invites and posting this thread. I'm sure we'll have critical mass in no time...

Oh that's ok. I'm sure we can have plenty of fun looking @ your new XBR2/3 or D62 series Aquos, right? I suppose I'll come clean as a frequent goer of [H]ardforum and XS. We've all got our vice's, right?

Jodiuh,

You might be looking at the wrong profile. Here's mine:

My reference displays of choice are CRT. My reference sources are transport + battery DAC & HTPC as prepro.

Oh, I wasn't looking at profiles. Just playin' with that forums tendency towards overkill...just like this one. So you're not a fan of the LCD, eh? CRT's make my head hurt...do miss the blacks tho.

I'm an ASU football season ticket holder (through thick and thin!) so the 11th would only work for me if it were during the morning/afternoon because the game is at 7pm.

I'm down for a meet, the 11th is iffy though...I'm in Chandler.
Hmm, how about the 18th then?

I've been going to LAN parties (computer gamers w/ lots of folks) for a few years now. The later the date almost always gurantees bigger numbers. Perhaps we could consider a month or more's time in advance?
