This is why I opposse thread revivals. If this was Usenet there'd be 100 flames written in reply to the thread revivor within hours on more active news groups.

But, I guess it's worth noting that this place is nearing the 3 year mark within the next few months.

But if nobody flames this problem doesn't happen

As for people getting confused by ghost threads, if a thread gets a 'zombie' icon, say, a month after it's started, this won't be a problem and we'd be set to wake ghosts at will

And I predict many happy reawakenings for this thread in the future. It is, after all, the *first* thread on this forum It's like the foundation stone of a building, people will want to look and marvel at it every once in a while

You have a very good point there, this thread is like akin to the Titanic... As much as some people want it to be raised to the surface once again, the best place for it to be is where its been laying since the begining... and that is where this thread is going to head... slowly but surely back into the archives...
