Pros: compact

Cons: poor sound, poor quality

Wow, what a disappointment. I have decided to buy the se 425 due to reputation of SHure. I  had to return two sets to finally get a set that worked, the first set the sales person pulled the cable off, the second set only one of the earphones worked. While the third set works, the sound is awful, poor base and tinny treble. If you are considering, save your money, or buy a set cheap set, the sound of my IPOD stock earphones is much better.

Beg to differ - and your review doesn't make sense. The cables on the 425are detachable - so it makes no sense to say the sales person pulled the cable off (headsmack). Then when you comment on the poor bass and tinny treble, it is very apparent that you did not have them inserted properly - and therefore did not have a good seal (a must to get the intended SQ from an IEM). Thirdly - I see you only posted once - just to write this review - so I give little credibility to your entire single paragraph.
Whoops. Clicked the thumbs up by accident. As Brooko said the getting a good seal is key. Also as these are quite flat IEM then they may sound dull to someone who is used to something with a more U shaped response.
