Pros: easy to drive; amazing in every aspects

Cons: Haven't noticed any yet

Better than RS1i, HD700 and K812 in most aspects.

Thanks for the detailed review!
Wow, better than a k812? How so and why?
The K812 is a flop. It has very tizzy transients, high distortion in the bass and lower treble, and significant ringing.

That being said the HD580 is almost identical to the HD600 and I know that thing didn't sound very good. It also wasn't easy to drive. At all.
Amazing review! Love the thorough descriptions, and detail!
I stopped reading at easy to drive
The HD580 was introduces in a time (1993 I think) when putting a $1k price tag on a dynamic headphone was laughable.
The audiophile market is rife with the false belief that high-cost equals high-fidelity.
The HD580 is a perfect illustration of that fallacy.  And btw...it is easy to drive.  I run mine out of my laptop (Lenovo V570) and I get quite satisfying volume with no audible distortion.
