“The BTG-Audio Sunrise CIEM Cable
Warning: This sophmoric review was written after repeated viewings of The Big Lebowski, and some may find it annoying. I am the walrus.
The Industry Abides...
We audiophiles (or whatever the hell we are), new to the hobby and old-timers alike, are living in a sort of golden age; the manufacturers have finally caught wind of the lengths people...” --doublea71
After-market cables are something of an enigma. There are many companies offering many different cables each offering their own distinct sonic flavors. I must admit, I was once something of a cable agnostic. Many reviews I had read flatly stated they heard no difference in their after-market cables and/or the only reasons to even get one are...” --Darkbeat
Thanks to WNBC for his review, I am in complete agreement with most of the points he makes, however I will put my experience in my own words. Trevor, who runs Norse is completely professional to deal with, as well as clearly dedicated to creating some of the most natural and transparent and beautifully crafted cables that can be found at any price. He is generous with his time and...” --drez
“The exo cable is a great cable to go with, especially with the CIEM, which in my case is the UM Miracle. It cleaned up the slight bluriness of the sound in comparison with stock cable, which is great. The cable is quite stiff, but that is understandable.
the sockets and plugs are very well built, and I am thoroughly impressed by the aesthetics too. The only thing i wished for is an ear...” --noobandroid
“FiiO has become a renowned company over the past few years. The offer really good product with even better prices, making tem a real bargain!
Made in China, but with European standard of quality!
There is nothing much to say about the L, other than that, simply put, it is the best choice possible for portable use. The L-shaped plug offers better connection and is more resistant than...” --shugog
I'm not big into cables making a huge difference. I feel like, more than any element of audiophilia, the differences can easily be mental and not really there. However, I feel like this cable really brought out the best in my 650s. The thickness and durability is great and I love that I bought a lengthy cable.
It might not be worth it to everyone, but it was for me. No regrets.
The Effect Studio Thor Silver IEM Upgrade cable is the new flagship made from quad-braided pure UPOCC silver that has been cryo treated and put together with Cardas silver solder. The cable has a high-end look and feel, with a good thickness that has a relatively loose braid that won’t unravel below the hard plastic Y-Split and twisted above. A custom-made cable...” --average_joe
Build Quality: For something hand built, the overall build quality is quite good. Of course, it isn’t nearly as perfect as something from a plastic molding machine but it is far ahead from the early days of DIY cable with ugly and stiff heat shrink. The actual cable itself is surprisingly slim and flexible, almost looks fragile in a way but thankfully it is quite strong in the hand. The...” --ClieOS
I love the L11 because it allows me to charge my iPod while I listen to music. The usb side of the L11 lets me charge and transfer music just like a regular iPod cable would. I use the L11 with the cmoy I built with my M50s
