They look comely in a retro-yet-sleek way, and that slightly cold and faded metallic sepia brown is one of my favorite colors. I expect they'll cost twice as much as the Amperiors, though, which are already a vastly overpriced version of the HD-25s (even though they retain the plastic construction apart from the metal cups). Which is a pity, because the Momenti (plural this!) are luxuriant yet reminiscent of saddles I've known (and probably sound aces, unlike saddles).
I stand corrected (not that you could tell; I'm short). According to our local thread, the Momentuseseses appear to be the same price as the Amperiors. They look far nicer than the aforenoted and are made of better materials, but how do they sound? How, I ask you (he asked)?
to be honest, they don't look that comfortable to me....(reminds me of those old retro cans). Very nice pouch. And the best name a headphone has ever had (which doesn't seem to harmonise with the looks)
OMG, why did he take down his OMG post? I found Craigster's latest offering to be chewy yet tart with tannins. It had a crisp mouthfeel and was balanced by Nintendo 64 video notes. 8/10 overall. I'm curious about the drivers as well. But then again, I'm not a god named after a famous camera. I'm only a small daring boil.
'Amperior'?? 'Momentum'??? Please Sennheiser, ditch the marketing folks that come up with these lame names and hire a couple of extra engineers to develop more awesome products... Just give the cans a number and if they're good enough they'll get a cool nickname on Head-fi anyway. Right, that being said, I do like the look of them, will try them out for sure if I ever get the chance...
+1 for the comment which mentions that they don't really look to be very comfy. But thats just a speculation. Looks gorgeous...Sony MDR-R1 or Sennheiser Momentum? Thats the question for me...for today that is :)
This is exactly what I want, if it sounds decent. I've had my eye on doing a driver transplant into a Panasonic HTX7 because I love the Seventies-retro style, but the build quality of the Pannys have kept me away. Now, provided these sound as great as they look, I can skip the DIY and get serious build and sound out of an around-town can that truly looks good (the whole minimal vibe of the TMA-1 and HD25 is just a bit too boring for my tastes, and the likes of the ED8 look overwrought and a too expensive for me to consider using as my go-to portable). Fingers crossed, these will hit the magic spot for my portable demands, and will have enough force behind them to catapult Sennheiser and truly great sound into the consumer marketplace. I can see these, like the HTX7 and P5, becoming a mainstay in the current alternative mass headphone culture (which is a phrase I made up to avoid the word hipster, which I don't like), which could be great for Head-Fi. I expect approximately 5% or my irrational ramblings.

The design reminds be a bit skullcandy aviators. Perhaps it's just the brown leather.

Maybe?

Closed? Closed. Portable? Yes, I suppose.
