Sansa Clip and Fiio E5 mod

Measurements and instructions to pair Clip and E5 for ease of carry while keeping both fully functional.

A notch has to be cut out to fit the Clip hinge. It is important to keep measurements exact so there is no play or movement once you are done. I use a Dremel tool to cut out the major portion then a jewelers file to get everything just right. Lastly I painted over it with a sharpie.

The Clip on the sansa has to be trimmed down so it will fit inside the E5 clip. I used a pair of flush cut cutters to cut the plastic. equal amounts were cut from both sides to keep from having any movement after I was done. File down rough edges after you are done. Some people say they use a nail clippper to cut this. Lastly cut off 80% of the ridge on the actual Sansa itself.

Slide Sansa Clip into E5 and check for fit. File down edges until you have perfect fit. If done correctly there should be no play up or own and no play side to side
