K701 Modifications

Photos on how to dampen your K701 for best sound and less fatigue. Bass boost, too. (coming soon)

Use safety pins to twist and remove the grill.  I tried using other things and scratched the grill as you can see.

Add dynamat xtreme as pictured.  (not blu-tack or newplast)  Ignore the blue painter's tape covering, that was an experiment.

Correction: there are only three driver vent holes, not four.  Again, take care not to cover them up.
Also, no need to add Dynamat on the moving bridge there with the screw hole - you may skip that bit.
