Hello ! As I have a lot of vinyl records that need cleaning, I decided to buy a record cleaning machine. I found out that many of those machines have a very high price. So the machine I can afford myself to buy is one of these: 1) Clearaudio Smart Matrix Record Cleaning Machine 2) VPI HW 16.5 Record Cleaning Machine 3) VPI HW-17F Record Cleaning Machine I need your advice - which one should I pick ? I've read in the net that "Smart Matrix" is better than "VPI 16.5"...
Hi, All ! I thought that it may be interesting to some of you to learn something about Russian audio market. If you want to know which codec is the best, visit http://www.hydrogenaudio.org. This is a great forum dedicated to audio compression. There you can meet developers of different formats (MP3, Ogg Vorbis, MPC, etc.) If you want to know more about mp3 (e.g. why Lame encoder is better then Xing, why use VBR) visit http://r3mix.net. Also you can ask questions about it at another cool forum: http://66.96.216.160/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl
Does anyone know how mpeg audio (e.g. layer 2 streams) is stored in mpeg1 video files ? I wanted to write a program that can extract audio from mpg files and have got some problems with it ... I found out that audio frames are usually stored in groups of 9-10 or 14-15 (depending on bitrate ?). And the last frame in the group is decoded as noise (when extracted to file) by Lame --decode (or standart windows decoder) most of the time ! So my question is: what is wrong...
