Sorry to get a little bit off topic. I've been searching on the forum regarding Westone 4R cable upgrade but I can't seem to find a thread related to it.   Just want to see everyone thoughts on it.   Also, I am using my Westone 4R with Shure black olives from my SE530. I love it. It seals a lot better than the gray ones Westone came with.
Hi Head-Fi   So after 4 years of listening to my SE530 and going thought 3 different pairs during the 2 year warranty period it has finally die on me. Once again the cable came lose and I completely lost hearing on the left monitor.   Since I am out of warranty, I am looking for other means of fixing it. I've did my fair share of research of reshelling and found this company call Uniquie Melody. Can someone suggest other companies that do reshelling or simply...

Hello This happen again to my Shure SE530 and I don't know if I should send it back. Is there any DIY solution for this? Last time I sent it back to Shure for the exact same reason. Shure Canada warranty service is great but it takes 3-4 weeks. Any suggestion would be great! Ch28Kid

Oops sorry my bad. I mean clear ring around it. Not white, MY BAD. The one on the left is new, the one on the right is the old Olives. The old one is softer. I don't know if you could see the little ring on the left.
I just got my replacement last week. I wasn't expecting a brand new box. I thought they would send me the headphone itself. I was wrong.... This time I got SE530 manufacture in March 27 2008 instead of E500 which was manufacture in March 16 2007. I got the new black olives which expand really fast. Its the one with the white rings around them. The E500 version have lots of problem with the new iPhone extension cable. The new SE530 works perfectly with the new...
