Just received my a couple of days ago.  Works wonderfully out of the box with my DT1350 and ET4s.  Not so much in balanced mode with the RE262, a little harsh.  I'm going to try the 262's again after a some burn in....
Last year my son and I took a road trip and used the original zo and a clip.  Wonderful sound.  I didn't mess with the Honda Fit audio settings but I'll try that next time.

Before switching to various IEMs (Etymotic 4S being the best) I used various Koss products.  Good sound and cheap but two drawbacks:   1)  No isolation.  This may be good (hearing traffic) or bad (noisy gym)....
Tyll at Inner Fidelity has somewhat of a comparison.
Try the Sennheiser 680's.   FWIW, sweat rots out the pads of on-the-ear (and over the ear) headphones.
NuForce has a nice pair of bluetooth headphones.  Very comfortable and light.  Sound is OK, I like them for lower fidelity stuff, like podcasts.

Loved the pics w/ scratched up amps.  It looks like you really own and used them.  Congratulations on 10k!
I've not tried a range of IEM/headphones for movies, but I've used the Soundmagic PL30/50 for the last couple of years.  They do a good job for most movies.  The mids are good for dialogue and they can handle the lows well...
