The problems with my PXC450 have gotten worse. In addition to the OP, which has been updated, the left driver is making a constant drone at a single tone when the circuit is turned on. This happens regardless if the headphone is connected to a source or has any input. I sent it in for repair to Sennheiser in CT on 8/27 and today received a brand new unit. Unfortunately, they didnt say what the problem was so Im not sure if I just got one from a bad batch (presumably the...
Hi guys, I just got my PXC450 headphones today. I will follow up with pictures, Im sorry. But there is a big issue I have found that made me create this post before I was ready to given my impression. I am overall happy with the headphones, however there is one glaring flaw I have discovered. I am hearing a clicking sound in the right driver when these conditions are present: noise canceling circuit is off battery is inside the headphone If I turn on the noise canceling...
Hey guys, please see http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showth...92#post2943992 for more information. Perhaps someone can help? Sorry for posting this here, it was a mistake. Just making the best of it
no mention of foo_dop? uses foobar, which is a great interface. couple the fact that rockbox doesnt support 5.5G 80gb ipods...no flac support though.
i didnt realize going lossless would kill 50% of the battery life right there. i just got a new 80gb ipod as well and planned on putting just WAV on there. i would love flac support but, eh, you know...i would never use an ipod in the first place but since i got it for free. why bother messing around with codecs and different bitrates? seriously thats like saying is 87, 89, or 91 octane better for my civic? if piece of mind must be obtained, throw WAV on there be done....
$255 is a great price. thats almost equivalent to the regular discount i get from shure directly...
doesnt the sennheiser website itself say the MSRP is $450? even then, street prices should be lower, maybe $420.... either way im very excited to get these. i dont know what the point of volume or talk-through button (cant you just turn them off?) is, or if they still function as headphones without having to turn them on. doesnt someone have a preproduction unit? there are pictures since january 07. i guess hes under an NDA so no review =(.

IEM's provide the better isolation, and sound quality for the price. In case you don't know, IEM's are like little earbuds that sit in the ear canal and act like earplugs, in fact they're basically earplugs that play music. An inexpensive way to get your feet wet are the ER6i's, which you can find for about $60...
