So I need a USB based sound card that has hardware accelerated DDL or DTS connect encoding. I bought a Asus U7 but the DDL encoding is software based since the CPU spikes in usage while encoding. Anyone have any idea which sound card has optical SPDIF with DDL/DTSC that are hardware accelerated.   Thanks
I like low profile not to mention it does have a very good hardware build up resulting in a great note that a amp might spoil. I am not very sure what 40ohm will result in maybe lower sound or no difference at all only time will tell.
I just preordered the XBA-H3 as a replacement for my old SuperFi 5 EB but am not sure about the 40 ohm impedance as far i remember the SuperFi 5 EB was around 11-13ohms. Since the portable gear is a custom made rig working with a mixture of mobile and PMP insides not sure how it would handle 40ohm impedance was just wondering what i should expect??   The audio board is a heavily modified one which originally belonged to a Sony X10i phone so similar limitations would...
Excellent advice and yes it sounds like its gulping air, i use this guide for placement of the SUB. Since its a downward firing design i keep it away from any wall's and i prefer downward firing sub's because children and dog's cant rip the speaker apart.   Yes i did rerun Audyssey but i will re check if it was set at 0db or not, i think you were correct in assuming that 200w continuous is not enough which is a real shame any recommendation for a more powerful SUB but...
I am in a bind i bought Klipsch SW-450 from here after reading some good review. The problem is that the bass produced is not controlled and is not smooth at all, when the bass is at max will i get some depth but otherwise its just totally loose no control what so ever. An example is the blu ray of latest spider man where the woofer shook not only my room but also its housing resulting in wind type noises along with the bass.   This is very wrong specially...
I love my Onkyo NR905 but it uses a lot of electricity and since its active almost the whole day "Linked to the DTH service". The 7.1ch is overkill for most DTH services and only really used in some Blu-rays :P   So i am thinking of downgrading to a good 5.1ch Home Theater Receiver that has a low profile and eats less electricity.   I had a look at Denon S-5BD but it has blu-ray player which i don't need. Main points of importance are less electricity usage and...
As i was almost prepared to buy a new sony player i had saved up some cash. But it turned out that the A7xx had no discount options and so i post phoned my purchase and bought a APC UPB10 for use both with my ZEN and S9 and the experiance has beenn WOW. The charger itself is very stable in terms of voltage "Used a multi meter to find out" I just bought it yesterday and the battery just did not die. The ZEN shows a plug symbol on the battery. Did not try it with my S9...
My AKG 702 had a bit of a mishap, its gone to be fixed but that will take a long time. Till then i want to get a cheap alternative with a similar lower range if possible and on the cheap would be good. I have short listed the headphones according to availability in the local store.:- JBL 410 aka AKG k26P HD 202 and HD 212 pro I had HD202's long time back and found them quite bang of the buck but dont really know how they compare to 702's also. My friend had a...
iphone does not have as good a SQ as the ipod touch has IMO. But its the best among the phones.
While the ipod's with their fancy samsung chips never sound as good as ipod's on wolfson DAP's. The fact of the matter is that with time and proper burn in of the players chips and the time for the IEM's/Headphones to adjust to the new audio source.
