I bought that stuff quite a while ago. It's all been sitting in my closet as I've been saving up for sound card and PSU. I hope the CPU chip is good though because this is the first & last desktop I'm buying. I figure laptops will be able to do everything a desktop can do down the road anyways. 3570k was/is a really popular choice at the time. Pretty much gonna get RM750 as it's only $10 more. I'm going to read some reviews on it now.   I'm conflicted on whether to get...
I'm looking for a PCIE sound card (not many options from what I've seen). I can't decide between creative labs and Asus Xonar sound cards. The sound card MUST be PCIE, as my motherboard doesn't have any PCI slots. I pretty much always use my Sennheiser 558 headphones as well. Any advice would be appreciated. Here's the items I already bought for my first PC build:   HARDWARE   CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop...
558s it is then. thanks for the help :)
Could really use some help. I can't decide between 380 or 558s. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first time paying over $20 for a pair of headphones. I'm not an audiophile, just wanna use it with my PC/macbook/ipod, etc...
I'm confused. Which 4' replacement cable are you talking about? It seems the one on Amazon is pretty good. Also, any attachments or anything else I'm not thinking of? I want to get everything at once.
would this cable also work?   http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Adapter-Female-6-3mm-3-5mm/dp/B008JGWY2Y/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1380486838&sr=8-7&keywords=sennheiser+558+cable   Also, are there any other accessories for these headphones that I should consider? My brother has some box that creates surround sound for the headphones, which is pretty cool, not really a necessity for me though.
Can anyone who has or had the 558s comment on whether or not I'll need some type of adapter to plug them into an iPad or iPod?
Thanks for the advice.   My brother has the Sennheiser 558 headphones. Do you have an opinion on them? They seem really comfortable, but I think they have a plastic band (he's asleep so not going to wake him). When I started looking for headphones, I couldn't believe the prices. I can't believe I'm going to spend over $100 on a pair of headphones.
I would prefer sound isolation because those headphones appear to be more comfortable. I will be using these for extended periods of time, with a break every two hours.   I am leaning towards Sennheiser models, but I'm still so confused because there are so many different models. I should mention that I don't have surround sound or anything like that. These are simply plugging into my ipod and my Dell monitor's speaker.
Hello,   I'm looking for recommendations for over-the-ear headphones for under $150 on Amazon (can't change title of this thread). It seems that I keep picking up headphones at Wal-Mart for around $20 that really hurt my ears. I will be using them with my PC, perhaps TV, and various mobile devices.   I'm not an audiophile so I'm really confused as to which one to pick. I've been looking at Sennheiser and Audio-Technica brands, but there are so many models to choose...
