I recently saw a pair of lil jamz on an auction site going for a lot less then the retail for and free shipping. I couldnt resist since my daily buds have been a pair of 10 dollar sony that sound awful. They were so bad that i took my grado sr 60 i and walked around the mall with those on today( Highly enjoyable being all retro styled like me!) I need a pair to run in and hopefully these will do the trick and be passable for gym/around town use. Anyone else pick up a...
I picked these up by accident for my mom of all people. Thought I was getting the cheaper zx100 because what does she care. Got up to the register and bam 29.99 and said oh what the hell. Went home and put them on and wow was i surprised. I wore them that whole evening and then gave them up to her but what great value foe these. Still up in the air about getting me a pair for stuff like before hockey games where i can just toss them with my gear. I am a broke college...
The biggest regret for me was house of marley jammin buds that I had to buy at the booth in the airport and they were the cheapest buds they had and they were 30 dollars! I left my other ones in my jacket pocket and going from colorado to sunny south carolina didnt need a jacket. Just bought some monster lil jamz on the cheap and i havent heard them yet but i can tell you i will probably regret it. Full size I regret purchasing my porta pros just because the bass is too...
So i picked up a pair of Sony MDR- P1(Yes P1) is what they are at the thrift shop today for 2.50. Man these things have amazing highs.! the bass and mids are recessed and mids can be muddled but wow the crisp highs of these things make them a fun can to listen to. They were so amazing I had to fetch my grado sr60i's just to compare. All around grados stomp them but my goodness the sound of the sax on archie schepp & mal Waldron Left Alone Revisted album was really fun....
I am a Blackberry freak and used to be a rep for them and my blackberry sounds just ok. pretty balanced with some basic Mp3 files on it. Not sure what type of files your model  supports but mine is an old Bold. Personally i dont mind carrying 2 devices around but that is up to you. You made a good choice in Shure headphones now just listen and enjoy them. Regardless of the device you are using. Start with the blackberry as a baseline and try different things from there...
I have been following head fi for many years mostly out of curiosity. I am not as picky as many of you are but love buying headphones as an adventure rather then the pursuit of perfection. I have amassed a collection that isnt spectacular but consist of some ear buds and full size cans. I previously worked at a sony factory store near my home and got to try many of their headphones. But the local hi fi shop has everything i lust for in which i bought grado sr 60 and have...
