Ah! Nice custom loop. I went for the easier on the eyes UV lighting with uv reactive blue coolant. Tomorrow i'm taking it apart to install an Aquacomputer Aquaero 6 LT, some in-line temp sensors, and a flow meter.
It's finally time for me to step up and buy a new amp since my Little Dot MKIII's tubes are crapping out and i'd rather not buy another pair of ElectroHarmonix 6H30Pi-ER tubes which cost as much as a Magni 2. I'm gonna start with just the Magni 2 and use it initially with my Fiio D3 DAC or plugged directly into my X-Fi Titanium HD. Its a shame They don't offer the normal Magni 2 with the aluminum chassis because thats the only reason why i'd go for the Uber.   The main...
Noooo..... I can't believe I missed this deal. My HD580's are probably a decade old, replaced the cushions at least 5 times, and broke the band twice... and I finally decided its time for some new cans so of course I had to see whats new on Head-Fi. I may just stick it out with my 580's with the hopes they do another massdrop with the 650s.      edit/   Oh man... these 580's are definitely MUCH older than a decade considering i bought them not that long after joining...
I'm currently in the market for a decent quality microphone to use with teamspeak and other VOIP applications as well as some voice recording work. I'd also like to try out Cortana in windows 10. i use Sennheiser HD580 headphones with a couple different amps (see sig) and my PC has an Creative X-Fi Titanium HD internal sound card. While it does have a 3.5mm jack, its my understanding that buying a USB mic would work better due to its all digital signal.  I have a logitech...
The JRPGs with the best OST's come from Falcom, hands down. Their in-house music production is done by the Falcom Sound Team JDK and they even have a JDK Band which does live performances (yes... video game music played live in concert) and IMO are quite a talented group.   Here is the Falcom Music Channel on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCz7eke4JGlbtc11_6mmA7ew   Some prime examples of Falcom audio excellence..    Fateful Confrontation from Sora no...
Well instead of ordering a bunch of parts and waiting around for them, I ran down to my local place for electronic parts, JK Electronics, and spent $1.40 on a pack of 10 resistors (120ohm 1/4w) and replaced the one blown and one almost blown resistor on each channel, put it back together, powered it be amp on and... IT WORKS!!!!! In fact, the amplifier no longer has the faint noise it had before when cranked up! So if anyone else has this problem, hopefully this thread...
So earlier I turned on my LittleDot MKIII v2.0 with the volume on about 20, and instead of hearing the very faint "tinking" noise, my ears got slammed with horribly loud crackling causing me to immediately rip my headphones off and as I was reaching to turn off the power, noticed the left Electro-Harmonix tube had what I would describe as "lightning" inside it. Kind of like those glass orbs that you touch and your finger attracts the electrical arc to touch that side of...
HUGE thanks to everyone here who spent the time and money discovering this mod. I currently have a pair of Sennheiser HD580's that I purchased way back when I first registered for this forum and after going through two cables, two sets of pads (multiple washings each), and now a cracked Y that holds the left assembly (repaired with Satellite City HotStuff)... I was moments away from spending way too much money on new headphones because I didn't think replacing the cracked...
It's a shame that so much of their music has been turned to crap by people who have no idea what they're doing deciding to record a vinyl record or other media and pass it off on the net as the best thing going. Especially since they are two of the most brilliant musicians from a technical aspect as well as their incredible attention to detail. Some people just can't seem to get past their outfits and open their ears to the great music they produce.   I worked for a...
