Shortly after I saw the film for the first time I talked to someone about it who, like this reviewer, appeared to think there was more to the movie than yelling lines that sounded tough and bloody battle scenes.

I bought this recently and watched it all. Absolutely breathtaking. I highly reccomend to anyone who may be reading the thread and hasn't watched it yet.
I won't say I'm "done", because there's a lot of stuff out there I'd like to get my hands on eventually. However, I'm not likely to be getting any new gear in the near future.
My money is going into the music.
