Should I get these or the JVC HAFX1X?

I recently bought the JVC Xtreme Xplosives but I lost them and now I'm thinking about getting another pair because I absolutely loved them. But when I went back to buy it I read a review saying that the JVC HAFX67R and now I'm not sure...

I'm still really stuck on whether to go with m50 or the hm5 now I wish I could listen to them both somewhere before to test it out before buying them. I guess I kinda am a basshead and I keep hearing that the hm5s are really laid back so...

I'm really leaning towards the M50's now but I have one more question. Do I really need a portable amp if I'm listening to music on my iPod?

Haha oh man I think that would help narrow it down because I listen to everything. From rap to metal and even acoustic songs and thanks got the suggestion I'll deffinately check it out.
