I got rid of the twisty ties and am now using 2 zip ties per side to extend the headband to its fullest. Much more secure. Ready to cut those bumps out tho...
How bout the Q701's lan factor? I took my very open HD580's along w/ the closed DT770. It was simply too hard to pinpoint anything w/ the background noise the sennheiser let in. :/

After a couple weeks with the 880s premium 600s and the Q701s, I'm sending back the 880s. There are 2 reasons...
1. Q's soundstage trumps anything the 880 does better sonically. It is just too unique a feature.
2. Q's do shooters...
I recently tried 2 sets of these (rma). The first probably had 25 hrs or so and compared to the fresh one, had a much brighter sound...annoyingly bright. The other has about 15 hrs now, but still doesn't sound anywhere near as painful...
