Sounds like a lose or bad connection in the cups from what you are describing.  If in warrantry (or out of warrantry and unmodded) I would contact grado.  I believe they have a pretty reasonable service fee for out of waranty repairs as well.  If you have modded them then you should know how to get into the cups, where I would check all the connections, and resolder them as needed.
The only reputable source to buy Alessandro's is from Alessandro... Here is the link: http://www.alessandro-products.com/headphones.html   hint: MS-1 = Music Series One w/mini original - $99 MS-1i = Music Series One w/mini 2009 version - $109
They are the same as any other plastic grados when it comes to modding...  My GF has the 60's and I have the MS1s, and I perfer the MS1s, and really feel they are worth the extra $20 or so.  Much more open (probably mostly due to having the 'buttons' already removed, and a much closer tolerance of drivers, along with a few other tweaks.  If I could have afforded the 225s, I would have probably done so (though I would probably save for MS2s at that point), but I am very...
If you are mainly listening to Rock, Metal, Alternative, and especially classic rock, I would totally go with the Grado SR-225i (also look into the MS-2 possibly as well).  They are not so heavily biased that you cannot listen to anything but rock (I listen to some rap both old and new, and they are fine).  They may not be bass heavy as some other cans, but there is bass, and it is detailed.  Basically, they are great cans that work well with alot of different music...
I am kinda looking at these three:   http://www.sportys.com/pilotshop/product/15907   http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hard-carry-case-bag-storage-for-beats-pro-detox-headphones-headset-/170841050450?pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item27c6eb8d52#ht_3578wt_1013   http://www.ebay.com/itm/Portable-hard-carry-case-for-SONY-mdr-nc7-nc-7-noise-cancelling-headphones-/170889367306?pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item27c9cccf0a#ht_3130wt_984   I am not 100% sure...
Thanks, Looked at a couple...  I think there is one I saw that looked ok...  my only fear is that they may be a little big...  Is there a specific one people have been using more frequently?   Thanks, def. trying to avoid hard cases though...  Need something I can throw in my bag to protect them, last thing I need is ANOTHER pelican to lug around on set, lol...  def need a case I can throw in my sound gear bag that is a little more substantial than the pouch they com with.
Thanks, it is all working now.  I appreciate your responses!
Sorry to ask again, but I just made my 10th post, and I still don't see the option (I also believe I have been here for just over 15 days at this point?  Am I missing something here?
I have been looking for a decent case for my Sony MDR-7506 headphones, but have turned up really nothing in my searches.  I was wondering if anyone out there knows of any good cases?  Thanks again!
Thanks, I just emailed him...  The price is not bad, so I am def. getting a set regardless.  Thanks for the link!  I appreciate it!
