no no silly! im getting a grado rs1i for xmas using $350 of the $956 some that i earned . I was going to just buy it retail price right after my summer work was done but my dad made me a deal. He would pay for half of the 700 needed to get it if i waited until xmas to get it. i there for, have to pay for the other half. This way i can spend my money on other things, iv already got my little dot i+ in the mail now i just have to wait until that final moment when i open my...
oooohhhhhh i see! :D  regardless i would still hurt them if they even so much as touched my headphones without my permission and even worse so if they decided that they were going to drill holes in them. Even if they asked me if they would like to mod my cans i would say no, because they would basically be messing with an investment that i put my hard earn money into buying. What if the mod (which in this example i didn't even know went down) goes horrbily wrong and my...
if one of my friends drilled holes in my headphones, they wouldn't wake up the next morning... either that or some of their fingers might be gone ( in reality i would just force them to pay for it) I would drill holes and mess up theirs however IF and only if they were beats. Lets say they left over there little beaties at my house...well  chop chop drill exsplosion and well there you have it, a wounder pile of dust and flaming toxic plastic...enjoy [insert friends name...
crap i just realized this forum is about making fun of our selves lol ( I DO NOT LISTEN TO BEATS NOR I EVER WILL) just sayin
would a amp/dac improve the sound quality greatly? or would it just add minor improvements?   Iv heard you can drive the rs1i's directly out of a ipod so im wondering if getting a amp and a dac would be worth the exstra money. If its worth getting an amp im thinking about get the little dot i+ (thanks for your recommendation sling5s!) iv been looking around and that looks like the best cheap amp for the can's. My budget would be sorta small for the amp + dac IF its...
i probly wont know for a long time if the he 500 are better than the rs1i or vice versa. as i have said before there is basically no way for me to try both of the on and compare them at the moment.   However from what i have been reading and from what i have heard from people the rs1i would fit my tastes almost perfectly compared to the hifiman.   Just after i tryed those sr80i's i realized something. I realized if almost all the cans in the grado line have this sorta...
i dont think i would blame anyone. everyone has different tastes and from a technical stand point i can see why some people would choose hifiman over grado. They seem to be more neutral, have a bigger sound stage and bass impact and they can do all genres decently well (from what iv heard from people). This is contrast to grado which can do a few genres very very well while they dont do so good in others. But from what iv heard grado would be a better choice for me...
as i have said before there is simply no way for me to audition them both in my current situation. there for i will go with my logic and gut instincts on this one and what people have been saying. My heart and head is set on getting the grado rs1i. if i somehow dont like them i can simply return them and get the he 500 (which i sorta doubt i will).   thank you all for your help!
lol iv put alot of effort into finding a place to audition them both, long story short in my state and there is simply none as of now that have them both that i can trie .Crucified at one time had them both but i dont know how they will react to someone wanting to rig up to expensive headphones for demo. That and the rs1i is out of stock there. Iv put in the effort but unfortunately theres no way what so ever i will be able to try them both out with current situation. I...
