Can't really do a proper review, but here are  my thoughts on them: (note that I'm not familiar with many audio terms)   They are very comfortable, at times I forget I have them on, the noise isolation is perfect (for me), no need to get the volume loud, all outside noise is very quiet, but you can still hear a bit (if the  music is at a low volume, or not listening to anything - I wear them at school to read -) so you're not completely isolated from the world, which...
I'm trying to choose one of these, they both have good reviews and a very similar price. Can I get some help?   I want them for school and the bus/street, sound is the most important, but noise cancelling and sound leak is also in my mind, but I wouldn't mind letting others listen to great music if that means better quality      I mostly listen to metal, the most "extreme" stuff (death, thrash, black, grindcore), so there's a lot of distorsion and fast drums....
It's a 1999 Jetta A3, nothing fancy. If I go to an audio specialized car shop, you think they'll be able to help me? This considering every person I've known that spends money on their car audio just do it for ear bleeding bass at an extremely loud volume. Any tutorials online to better understand the concepts?
Damn, it's WAY more complicated than I thought. So I guess I'll just stick to "good" regular speakers and maybe something else simple. Which brands offer cheap speakers? The front doors speakers have to be of a different shape/size/model than those in the rear? I don't really care about the passengers,i want the sound for me, if a different setup is required for me or a general passengers pleasure.
I'm done with the bus and driving to school, it's definetely better, but there's a big problem. I used to listen to music all the way to school and back, I do the same on the car, but the sound is not really that good.   Getting to the point, are there any good sounding speakers? I don't want to be one of those guys playing hip hop or electronic that can be heard 4 blocks away, no, I just want good sound quality for me.   I don't plan on getting something too...
no one's talking about the 449, is it not a big difference from 439 to 449? (trying to decide which one of them to buy)
Thank you, I guess I'll buy the 449, and anyway all my files are 320 or lossless and I hate that hip hop bass
what about the bass? reviews says is lacking, but it always refers to teens who listen to hip hop. I don't need a damn subwoofer kind of bass that will blow my head, I want to hear the notes of the bass. Will I be able to hear the bass just fine? I once had a pair of headphones on which the bass was barely audible, but they were cheap so...   I just remembered, headphones might be a bit "harsh" on bad recordings, so, that means black metal will sound terrible through...
Well, I'm already spending a lot on any of the headphones I listed, if worth I'd be willing to buy the 518, but no more. Sadly, headphones here around 50% more than in the u.s. And I also need a new guitar amp,a bass and an amp for the bass, so I can't just raise my budget.
First I  want to thank you for your time and knowledge hepling me, secondly: they are all Sennheiser because physical stores here suck (live in Mexico) and I don't have paypal or a credit card I can use online, but apparently I can pay by deposit at sennheiser's mexican site.   I'd use them for listening to Heavy metal subgenres, specially thrash and death metal, so there's a lot of double bass drums, fast drums and some low growling; I also listen to a lot of...
