Both used on a good pre-amp, and lossless audio. How huge is the upgrade from these too? I'm not talking about the money, but the sound? good improvements or bad?  Is it worth the upgrade? Cos I can start using my SR80i outside my house once I get the RS1i.
I'm not going to put my Headphones on for a day or two, because I want to give me ears and headphones alittle break from that really bad audio feedback ( I'm guessing since the Grado's are open backed, when I was too close to my condenser microphone it picked up the sound and created a endless feedback loop causing that really high pitched sound)      So basically what your telling me is that my HP should be fine? unless it was physically hurt mishandling it, the...
what does cooked headphones sound like? lol
I own a pair of Grado Sr80i, and I connected it to my pre-amp which is also connected to my condenser microphone. I was testing out some settings on my pre-amp and maxed out the volume on it to test if the microphone was working. When I got to close too my condenser microphone this HUGE blast of really high frequency sound that went screaming into my headphones. It was REALLY loud!  my natural reaction caused me to quickly remove my cans as fast as I could! Thank...
has anybody else rolled over there cable or stepped on there cable when listening to music?  What are the main reason why cables get broken?
The other day a friend of mine showed me his Cmoy amplifier fully charged, and let me borrow it. While using it I did a side by side comparison, of how my IPod source would sound with, and with-out an amp using my M50s. First I conducted a test without the Cmoy, then I tried testing it with the Cmoy. While the Cmoy was turned off I connected the IPod to the Cmoy via FiiO L3 Line Out Dock Cable, and then connected the Headphones into the output.  I'm a bit worried...
thats whats making me OCD, I dont know! I just bought the pair today, and gave it only like 10 mins of demoing, my just worried that what if it screwed with the condition of the headphones sound when I rolled over the cable on my carpet.
I just bought these new today, and since the cable was really long it was sagging down onto my carpet while listening to it at my homework place. I was not paying attention were the cable was at, just the music I was listening to, and  I kinda ran rolled over the little pile of cable that was on the carpet with my computer chair ( weigh about 145, with the additional pressure of my computer chair). I have OCD and I care alot about the sound. How durable is this cable,...
Well I've been listening to so much music that has soundstage, with my Grado SR80i and My AKG 701's that my ear doesn't get tricked by soundstage! Its like immune to it, and everything just seems linear, and really 3-D.. This sucks so much.. I miss the feeling of being in or around the music.. Any help to get soundstage back into my head lol  Even when I close my eyes in the dark, my brain does not get tricked..
I got myself a pair of SR80i's and they sound amazing! Since there the portable Grados, I took them out on a long walk on a hot summer day. I got a little sweaty, so the pads got a wet.  I know these phones are not sweat resistant, so I wiped off the sweat that was on the pads. I'm alittle OCD, and I know i'm taking this  to the extreme, but do you think my sweat could have degraded or damaged the sound on my cans. Like I was sweaty, but I was not completely drenched....
