I wasn't. I've tried the around ear momentums only and those were the ones I was talking about.I believe my price estimate was based on Indian prices.
I spent an hour listening to the UE6000 and UE9000 and they sounded the same :S The cancellation isn't amazing tbh. Then again, I have the Shure SE315s and those IEMs are mind blowing at isolation so anything other than that seems imperfect to me (it'd be wrong on my part to expect cancellation to be that good..) The test headset sounded barely OK without the cancellation but with it on, it sounded great. It had quite a lot of bass and none of it was muddy :D The song...
rofl.. For those who thought that I was actually confirmed, I'd like to say I'm not. I know that the laws in the US are different (to those here) and quite a few times service providers/manufacturers have to state such things.. it's just new for me. I never expected a earphone to have these warnings so I thought I should share it with you guys for a discussion/laugh :)   At no point was I actually concerned. I did find it a bit funny :)
So I just recently ordered my Shure SE-315 and I can't wait to get my hands on it..  There is a chance that I might have to wait a till April to get it and that seems painful.   Every now and again, I google for the SE315 and read stuff about it to appease my desire to have the SR315s and today I was reading through Shure's broshure and SE 315 usage guide. To my surprise, this is what it says at the bottom.     Am I the only one who found that funny, odd, unexpected and...
Oh, I am! Only sad that I might have to wait a while before I can get it :( I hope Amazon pulls a proverbial rabbit out of the hat and gets it delivered to my friend before Friday and then I can enjoy it next week.. I just can't wait to get my hands on it..   And yeah, it did burn my pocket. I hope it lives up to everything I've read and heard about it (especially the comfort). I just can't wait to listen to some good music on it :) This might actually convince me to...
Bad build quality reviews on the Denon along with okayish sound quality (people described it as great compared to the monster beats.. I don't think that's a great benchmark to compare it to). TF10s looked good but I ended up ordering the SE315s for around ~180 USD with shipping.. way over budget but can't wait to get it.. sadly, this one won't ship in time for my friend to come (this Friday) so I'll have to wait 2 months for his room mate to fly back to India.....
When I went to bed last night, the SE315 was priced $150 and I was ready to buy them. When I got up, they were $174 but I was willing to get them too. When I was about to place the order, I was told by a friend that the Denon AH-C560R is available for almost free because I have gift vouchers for a store that I haven't used for ages and this store that has the Denons for sale so I don't have to pay for the earphones. If I don't use the vouchers, they go to waste anyway so...
So if the TF-10s fit (and I hope I got the link to the correct TF-10 you guys were talking about), they are definitely better than the SE315? They are in the same price range but as I stated earlier, my real query grouse is with the comfort.   I hope if I get the TF-10 and it doesn't work well for me, I can sell it to a friend of mine (who is looking for an upgrade).
Earphone solutions says (and I've read this on all their Shure pages) that if you buy Shures from ebay or Amazon, you need to make sure they are from an authorized reseller. For $150, the Amazon deal looks good but I'm not sure about the warranty. Earphone solutions charges $200 for it but will get me warranty for sure.   $50 upgrade seems worth it (even though it's a 50% increase in price, I could justify it). A $100 upgrade.. I'm not so sure I can reason myself...
Thanks for you reply! Pretty well written. Just one question, did you have the Bose IE or the IE2 cause the IE had a lot of the problems you mentioned while the IE2 was better (at least at the not popping out part). I know 1 person who owns an IE and one who owns an IE2 and the former broke his cable. Sad, really.   Speaking about wires, does the wire on the SE215 being detachable cause a problem over time by getting lose or something (contact issues)? I know you don't...
