I have been waiting for my upgrade since January. I was told originally 2 weeks. I have called and spoke with joe about every other week for the past 2 months and am told consistently it will be done and sent out by the end of the week....
4 pin is the most convenient, damn you headroom for ever starting that dual 3 pin idea, it's a bit clumsy. 4 pin can easily be converted to anything else with adapters. Most manufacturers seem to be up to snuff supporting 4 pin.
There should be no difference between 1/4 inch or the xlr headphone outputs. That is one of the beauties of balanced transformer coupling - the whole circuit is being used regardless of output.
