Someone stole my T1s out of my car, so I bought some new headphones, thought I would provide some feed back.   My Goal: see if I can replace my T1s for cheaper 2 years latter and continue the quest to find my perfect pair of headphones.    Price (that I paid at the time): $269.99  for the X2s, $699.99 for the HE-500s and the T1s $849.96. ($699.99 now)    Comfort, X2, T1, and a distant last HE-500.  The X2s and T1s are not far apart, however the fact that the wire...
Do you mean the same T1s I had or a different headphone you would recommend that combines the sound of the HE 500s and T1s?
Some one stole my Beyerdynamic T-1s out of my car.  Life without music sucks.......    I haven't been keeping up with the headphone scene for a while because I was basically happy with my T-1s.   Headphones I have owned, to give you guys and idea of what I am looking for:   Sennheiser HD 650s:     Not resolving enough for me.   HI-fi MAN HE-500s:   Loved the base and speed, sound stage was not the best, also the cable kept on breaking, sold them because I...
Should I do a subjective review with my T1s and HE-500s? It came in the mail yesterday.  Its an O2/DAC limited edition from JDS labs.
No amps are the least important, in fact it can be argued that objectively there is no difference between amps unless they are driven to clip.   Like I said you should google the story of the objective 02 amp.   The idea behind an amp is to NOT have a sound, aka just make the signal stronger, if you hear deltas between amps that means they are NOT doing there job. Before that signal hits your speakers it's NOT a sound it's just an electrical singnal it does not have a...
I haven't actually got to try any schiit audio products, people around here like them alot.  Don't putt too much money into the amp/dac, the headphones are the MOST important part by far they are 99% of the puzzle. The difference between your schiit audio stuff and the $5000 top of the line stuff is TINY compared to the difference between headphones.
Yes it's kind of an issue, super unlikely to be audible.  If you are worried about measurements buy an amp desgined by measurements :P.  http://www.jdslabs.com/products/48/o2-odac-combo/ If you don't already know the story behind this amp, google it.  The objective amp/dac does not have the impedance issue or any issue for that matter. It also sounds GREAT IMO with my HE-500s.   If you have your heart set on the nuforce, I personally do not believe it will be an issue...
More gain does not mean more power, gain is the ratio to witch the imput signal is amplified.  More gain does NOT mean more power.  Yes it only effect loudness.  No they are not wasting there time entirely but yes pretty much all amps sound the same ( or atleast so close it makes no difference) as long as they are not distorting or clipping.  Alot of people will not agree with that statement but there it is.  The Headphones or the speakers do 99% of the magic if not 99.9%...
This is not exactly correct, you can only hear deltas in SQ related to power issues if the amp clips. SQ can be effected by other things like THD or impedance etc...... He is correct in saying that just because a headphone is loud that does not mean the amp is not clipping or distorting in some other way.  There is more myth then merit when people say they need 1W+ amps  or for that matter 500mW.   Keep in mind that some headphones really are hard to drive like the AKG...
SQ is in same league of almost half the $$$ lol :P
