Tiesto's trance was very unlike Armin's trance, the sound is totally different. I love both personally. Sorry for the off-topicness
If the price and quality are decent, I'm definitely picking up a pair! I'm a huge fan of Tiësto! For those of you who don't know him: He's been one of the top (if not the best) DJ's and EDM producers for over a decade, which is very long in EDM.    He used to make this kind of music:     And now he makes this kind of music:   It goes without saying that these tracks should be listened to entirely, since the climax is only after several...
So apparently AKG is to release new headphones in a collaboration with Tiësto in June. This was on Tiësto's facebook page:   " Tiësto is proud to announce his collaboration with AKG to create his very own AKG by Tiësto headphones! The range will be made up of three different models and will be hitting stores in June 2012. Keep posted for more news! "   Im not familiar with AKG headphones but from what I've heard their sound isn't really mainstream. I wonder...
Hi all, earlier this year I bought a DIY-mod from a fellow headfier, along with a DIY-ed LOD and a Corda move amp. Sound has been awesome, no complaints about that, however the LOD is starting to fail. Are there any alternatives to ALO audio's very expensive imod LOD's? I do NOT need cryo/9.9999999999999999999999% pure/ultra high quality wire, I just want something not too expensive that does the job for an IMod. Does anyone know an alternative?
Of these three I only own the ms 400. Sound quality is pretty decent I think, the bass is very tight and punchy. The mids are very upfront and in your face, so it has a really engaging sound. The treble is not very sparkling, but it does the job. It had a pretty narrow soundstage though. Isolation is also really good IMO. The fit however is not very good. If i wear them for an extended periods (>3hours) they tend to get uncomfortable. This is because they are just a bit...
Hmm that dayton looks good. I live in Europe however so i will have to find a shop that ships to Europe for not too much money. I am a bit of a basshead, but i can just buy the speakers then decide if i need a subwoofer. Those Alesis speakers look good, but I will have to look if they fit. Any other suggestions? I have been looking at Audioengine A2 lately, are they good?
JBL 4311 seem like some nice speakers, but they also seem pretty big. What are their dimensions? As I said i have quite some limitations in space.   Sometimes I will probably be in my bed, but it's not like "all the way at my bed" :P, its pretty close to my desktop where the speakers will be.
James Blunt & Bruno Mars. Barf.
So after enjoying my headphones for a while I've decide I want a speaker setup. I'm a total noob however when it comes to speakers, so I will need some help from the experts here around head fi. Some info:   -budget around 700$. Also, I have no DAC. I guess I need it so this will have to fit in the budget. Also, I have no amp. -Will be playing from my pc. -I listen almost exclusively to electronic genres, so I need BASS. The rest of the spectrum must be good...
A while ago I dropped my phiaton ms 400 to the floor, and the left earcup was broken. That sucks bigtime of course, especially because it is not covered by the warranty. Regardless I contacted Phiaton to ask how much it would cost to repair the headphone. Guess what, they offered to repair it for free! I only had to pay shipping from the Netherlands to Korea. Two weeks ago I got it back, and they didn't just repair it, they sent me a whole new headphone alltogether! Even...
