The guy from Finland is touching something significant here. The HD800 and TH-900 is VERY different. So different that they should not be compared per se. If they do; something failed in the research. The Fostex sounds much meatier...
If your T1s do not mimic a natural headphone, the HD800 won´t either. The latter will give you a (in)significant larger soundstage - bit at the expense of less pin-pointing. I.e. the HD800 smears the sound more. Happy hunting.
Use Violectric V200 and Burson Soloist. If I should select among this two; the Soloist because it normalizes the TH-900´s exaggerated tonal balance. IMO.

You are spot on. There is something with the Audezesound that keeps me fascinated and hooked onto the MUSIC.
I´ll keep´em all and have my own museum for the "old days" to come....
Agree with the rationale - but disagree with the reference point (i.e. accurate). I would say the T1 is brighter than accurate sound / music presentation. And, therefore - some like the exaggerated "accuracy" it delivers.
