That's a good one and I also read the previous title you've listed. Don't forget to read the author's next book, which I also suggest:
I love reading books about dieting and nutrition. I read this all in one day and it's very rare for me to do that. It was definitely interesting, but I'm not really convinced Wheat is a bad as the author claims.   Despite the info on wheat itself, I don't endorse the diet plan it suggests which is basically similar to Atkins but closer to the Paleo Diet.   I really do think Wheat bread and highly processed foods are worthless. Instead of following the diet in this...
Inglorius Bastards (1978 version) - 9/10   Possibly the most entertaining movie i've seen all year. Better than "Where Eagles Dare" and "Dirty Dozen". It also reminded me a lot of "Von Ryan's Express".   Only negative is that the sound quality is poor. I think it's probably dubbed too.     Happy People: A Year in the Taiga - 7.75/10   Co-directed by Werner Herzog. Worth watching but one i'd probably forget in a month.
IMO the best for those two together is the Headroom Micro Amp + Astrodyne Power Supply if possible. That thing has tons of power and could even handle the HE-6 I think. Probably sweat a little. There's almost nothing it can't handle. Pretty sure it outputs several hundred Jiggawatts into 32ohm. It's not a weak portable amp. Has a huge brick power supply.   Back years ago I had the Asgard 1 and it was just so-so. Not a fan of it and seemed best for the D2000 and HD-600,...
Read this in 3 days and I'm not one who flys through books. Probably up there with "With the Old Breed" and "Diary of Anne Frank".   They also wrote another book on the man's life called "Unbroken". That's being made into a movie by Angelina Jolie.   Anyway, it's about a WWII bombardier who is lost at sea for 47 days and then gets to land only to get captured by the Japanese and sent to a POW camp for 2 years! He originally wrote it in 1955 and revised/expanded...
Philomena - 9.75/10   Near perfect. If it wasn't for the acting this movie would not be nearly as good. Worth buying I think.   Judi Dench deserved an oscar for this!
Anchorman 2 - 5/10   Watching this was a real test of my endurance. I got about an hour into it and somehow managed to finish it after a break. I would say that there was a few LOL moments..maybe 5 in the entire movie.   Most of the humor was just the WTF/Bizarre type humor. I was thinking maybe the scriptwriter was on drugs or something. I think they tried to make the most ridiculous movie ever made. I like of liked it for that in a way.   I must be an idiot but I...
I would have given the movie a 10/10 except for something that ruined it for me. Reminds me of "Failan" from South Korea. Love that long shot on the beach that is all one take. Felt like I was really there.  Not sure if there is a youtube video out there of that scene, but I like it for some reason. It's this one:http://www.steadishots.org/shots_detail.cfm?shotID=298 I really do wish we had more movies like this though..
That's a good one and I kept thinking about it years later. After watching that I went out and bought the director's next film "The Banishment". I think my version I had to order from Amazon UK and it's PAL only.I haven't seen it yet. "The Return" is the kind of movie I like, but it definitely won't put you in a good mood. I always love a movie with some amazing cinematography. Have you seen anything from Nuri Bilge Ceylan? Sometimes I think i've watched all his films...
You should do it. Vali is very very good with the Q701. In fact it sounded almost identical to my main amp (and upgraded power supply) which cost about $350 when it was new. With the Vali and the Q701 there is just a touch of warmth (from the amp), but I didn't find it to be a warm sounding amp. Just not cold/thin like the stock O2 or Magni. Vali sounds transparent with the Q701. Vali (with Q701 and AKGs only) sounded pretty similar to how the Q701 sounds on the iFi iCAN...
