Both JDS and Epiphany should be trusted.
also, there are new plans for a DAC to fit inside the O2.. check nwavguy's blog.
I had both for a period of time.. we did extensive A/B blind testing, including myself, a fellow audiophile and another person. We were very, very careful with the blind testing... and, as it turns out, we couldn't tell the difference...

the blox are damn nice.
Definitely nicer than my PK3's and BEB 328R's, they are on a whole other level. I'll be buying whatever new stuff blox comes out with.
