Gibosi/Mordi   What do you guys think about the 6HM5 Yugo and the 6N6P-IR Gold Grid Combination?   How would the Mullard M8100 compare to the Yugo? The Voshkod 6N23P are decent as power tubes, but i find them a little bright and too detailed.     I'm looking for something airy, warm,  with intact/full bodied  vocals, with improved bass and separation response that will compliment both the Senn HD600's and the beyer dt990's.   Just needing a second opinion,...
ljoker. I really appreciate this thread.  I remember lurking those rainy nights and reading all about the iems that i wanted and was always glad to see a nice detailed summary of everything listed.     So I've been using the Visang-R02's for quite a long time, and i love em, but they unfortunately got misplaced and now i need a new pair of iem's !     What is something better/similar to the visang-r02, with same similar qualities, full body vocals,...
Listening to Richard Marx - Touch Of Heaven   Absolutely incredible on the LD MKIII. Simply incredible. The lush mids. The sweet vocal tonality . The quality bass, the center-stage of awesomeness.     The loudness of the Senn's don't bother me anymore.  So what if these HD600's get loud as hell?  These headphones were meant to be listened on low to moderate volume. That's why they are reference/hi-fi.   I'm going to stop being picky and adjust my volume to my...
I sort of have a love/hate relationship with the HD600.   I bought these quite some time ago, and they sound marvelous, they really do.   The vocals are really nice, crisp, clean, airy and close and personal.   The Senn's soundstage and air separation is different. It's forward, it's nice, it has terrific detail retrieval, without ever being harsh. Mids are super lush. You can hear the mood of each and every artists, by the breathing, the highs, the tongue turns,...

Hey, guys, it's me again.   I decided to not pull the trigger on the Woo Audio 3, just yet ! Maybe Mordy's or Gibosi's recommendation might save me some bucks !   Even tho my Electro-Harmanox and Sovtek 6h30-PI died very prematurely and early deaths.     So I've  been re-listening to this amp with  the Voskhod 6N23P(power tubes) and Mullard M8100.   The Senn HD600 sounded so muffled, buzzy and just plain out weird for the first 30 min. Then i realized I had the Gain...
yeah, you can get them for $22 to $25(remote versions) on amazon. They don't make these anymore, but i do recall they use to be $50 back in the days. I use my visang r02 for everything, as an all-rounder, so maybe this one will be a backup for me. I heard the bass on these were really good.
Logitech Ultimate Ears 350   http://www.dailysteals.com/p/38685/Logitech-Ultimate-Ears-Noise-Isolating-Headset-with-Microphone-and-Volume-Control-for-iPhone-and-Android-Smartphones--Choice-of-350vi-or-350vm-?__r=1&ref=cj   You can choose either the iphone or the android version.
I've milked this amp for 5 years now. Probably one of the best bang for the buck amps I've ever spent.   But i think I'm going to have to let it go.   I've rolled several mullard driver tubes on this amp. But i stuck with the EF95 M8100's.   The Power tubes that i tried were   Sovtek 6H30 P-I : Excellent after some burn in time. Clarity pops, but not in your face and bass reaches and extends decently.   But guess what? The right driver of these sovtek's died on...
Props to Woo for the sale.   But my main question is, why does the prices seem kind of marked up?   Why was the WA6 and WA3 both for $600 for a substantial period of time, and then suddenly for the 10% sale, the WA6's mark down price is coming from $699 to $629   Even the WA2, was originally $1050( i believe for a long period of time)   Unless these amps are coming with updates tubes or circuits or something, I'm not really sure what's going on here.
