I was going to post this in the portables thread, but since this is definitely a request for help I am posting here. I hope I got it right.   I am one of those people who enjoyed my K26P, but sadly after a couple of years one of the clips on the metal headband cracked and I have been afraid to use them ever since for fear I will break it the rest of the way.     You can barely see the crack in the photo, but the natural bend of the metal adds significant strain to...
I was looking around to see if anybody on head-fi had the SB270s and came across your thread... I used mine for about 30 minutes yesterday on videos just to test and I didn't experience any lag. You might consider upgrading to the SB270. I had a pair of SB240s, but I returned them because I really can't stand the feeling of a clip that holds the backs of my ears. A better idea would be to get something like the MEElectronics AF32, which actually sound good. I will post a...
Shame I didn't see your thread earlier. I haven't listened to my RE0s in ages. :/
Still got 'em?
I really like sheathed cables too and was wondering how to add a sheath to some of my cables. Once you find your source for a sheath, how do you get it over your cable? Is there some technique to this?

Thanks for the awesome review. I love frequency response charts. This is my first portable headphone amp, so please forgive stupid questions. But, is there any problem just setting the E5 to max volume and leaving it there? I ask, because it seems to sound ok, and then I can control the volume via the source. OTOH, I would never dream of using a home stereo amp at max volume, I never push my home amp past 50% for fear of clipping and speaker damage. Also, are...

Just picked up this nice little combo because I wasn't getting enough isolation from the MDR-EX71. I know these aren't the very best for isolation, but I don't like to use expensive earphones on a day-to-day basis. I'm afraid I'll lose them. This seems like good bang for the buck in the isolation department. I can now listen to music on my motorcycle without worrying that I'm pushing my earphones (or ears) too hard. Looks like a slight design change from what I saw in...
