From my experience, KSC35 > Beats Studio Edit: compare through laptop's hp-out jack. The KSC35 improved quite significantly with an amp and with the Beats, have never heard that any owner use them with an amp obviously haha

SE530 is not that much more expensive, you can find new one at Amazon for $254 and used 'd obviously be less and whatever, IE8's usually more expensive but used one are still < $250
