Great suggestion! I'm not sure why I overlooked this before but it meets all of my requirements. This will be my default unless someone suggests something else. Anything else out there worth looking at that meets all of my requirements?
Hi All, I've been making the switch away from iTunes/Ipods for the last few weeks. I've converted my entire music collection over to FLAC and I'm using Winamp / Foobar 2K as players right now. So to finalize my transition, I need a new DAP. My critera are as follows: - High quality sound (That's what we're here for, right?) - FLAC compatibility - 8GB or 16GB flash based - Small size like a Nano 1G or 2G - Ability to sync with Winamp - Nice color...

I don't like snake oil. I'm not big into expensive cables. I stay the course. I read everything and rarely post. But I have to say that using ASIO in Winamp and Foobar 2000 made a huge difference in the sound of my PC based audio system! Essentially, I've been piecing together an audio system in my office for the last 12 months or so. I previously had a system made up of Klipsch Promedia 2.1's being driven by the built in sound on my PC's motherboard using itunes. ...
What the... It seems like the real problem here is that this Islewind character has half your headphones. Tell your buddy to send the stuff to you so we can all figure out what the happy ending will be headphone wise.
Bootleg, Can you give us an idea of what you may be keeping headphone wise? I'm interested in your impressions from a budget point of view. What's provides the most bang for you buck Grado wise? Is the jump to the 325i's from the 80's well worth the $$$? How about to the RS1's? What would be acceptable to keep if your wife knew how much you were spending on this stuff (sound quality vs. wife harassment)? Where is the sweet spot. I want your opinion here please.
