After 3 years my RE-0s finally broke. The drivers still work in both ear phones, but the cord has come loose on the right earphone so that if I wriggle it around a bit, I can get crystal clear sound out. Head Direct has offered to repair them (with a price); but, before I did that I wanted to know if it was doable to repair these myself. If so, what would the cost be, and the time and skill required to do this? Are there cord kits I can buy or any photo instructions...
Thanks! I'll check the AVS speaker forum out.
Newegg has them for $179. Only saw one thread regarding these speakers back in March. Anyone have them, like/dislike them, recommend/scorn them? reference: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882325059&nm_mc=EMC-IGNEFL111912&cm_mmc=EMC-IGNEFL111912-_-EMC-111912-Index-_-HomeAudioSpeakers-_-82325059-L06A
Newegg has Energy EF-500 for $150, today being the last day. I'm thinking about using them with my laptop after getting an amp. For the price, or even their MSRP price of $400 anyone know how these compare to other options for this arena: bookshelf, tower, etc...   http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882269036&cm_sp=DailyDeal-_-82-269-036-_-Product   Thanks,   Caleb
Thanks for your comments. I will call them tomorrow morning first thing. They should have a number on their website I presume. Or there should be one on my receipt.
... my issue...   About 9 months ago the back of my RE0's became unglued while I was in Moscow, Russia and head-direct cheerfully told me to mail them to their China address, at which point I did, and I very quickly (not counting 1.5 weeks of transit time-Russian post is sketchy) got my headphones back repaired.   To contrast this, I was having an issue with the RE0 cord near the headphone jack and asked if I could send them in. Again, head-direct was prompt in...

Because the RE0's bass is not as strong as other IEM's, you miss that sound in them which makes Hip-Hop sound rather weak. Now you have convinced me to...
