W/ the volume at zero, I can hear sound out of the right channel, but not the left. As I turn up the volume, both channels...

For portables, I've used an iBasso D10 and an RSA Green Hornet. Even though the D10 is much more versatile w/ my Macbook, the RSA is hands down much better.
My best match (in my home) w/ the HF2 is the Bottlehead S.E.X.
