The S4s are a good pair of IEMs for all around use. The reason I decided to upgrade was for better extension into the highs. Interestingly, I feel because the X5s have more neutrality the mids come out nicely compared to the S4s, where they seem a bit recessed. For the money though, the S4s are great. They are especially good for listening to more compressed music.

Hey, I think the X5 tips are the same, not 100% sure. They seem to fit each other, but S4s don't come with as many sizes, but they are labeled by channel side, and size unlike the X5 tipe.
I put the Sony Hybrid tips on the X5s out of curiosity and the fit the S4s and the X5 too.

Hey i noticed that you had the x5's and the s4's well i currently lost my lovely x5's and was wondering how you think the s4's stand as a replacement to them. the highs on the x5 were sweet and changed pretty much how i listen to music (including a great claire de lune from cut out from fantasia on you tube) i like my some bass also.

Question 2) can you use the x5 tips on the s4's?
